Talk Sunday

I got asked to talk on Sunday. Iwas asked to talk on how personal progress and young womens help me make good choices. Well i just got into young women's and i have no idea what personal progress is. The Young Women's precidency hasn't even came to talk to me yet.So my mom said she was in Young Women's once and she wrote my talk. i got many compliment's on my talk but if my mom was standing by me she made me tell them my mom wrote it. Here is how the talk went."Turning twelve has been a momentous occasion in my life. I have interweiwed with the primary president, received my Faith in God award, can now wear some subtle makeup, interveiwed with the bishop and signed a document with him. The document i signed said that i was signing a commitment to the Young WOmen's Program. It stated that i was willing to commit to the standards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; graduate from seminary; receive a patriarchal blessing; advance through the respective classes and earn the respective awards; receive the Young Women's medallion; receive my temple endowment, be married in the Temple; and raise a family that is focused on preparing to receive the Savior when He comes again. Wow and wow again! How am i supposed to do all of those things? i am after all only twelve. Well, since signing that document i have learned that the Lord has developed a program that will ultimately help them, or me to acheive those goals. That program is called Young women Personal Progress. This proggram is designed to help us take smaller steps towards accomplishing these bigger goals and values. As it says in Doctrine and Covinents 128:21 "...line upon line, precept upon precept..." The lord does not expect us to acheive this all at once. The values we are working towards ar Faith, Divine Nature, individual Worth, Knowlede, chice and Accountability, Good Works, and Integrity. These values will help to teach us who we are, why we are here on earth, what we should be doing as daughters of God. The program teaches us how to make commitments and how to carry them oout. since i am brand new to the progam i don't know much about it but am excited to learn more and to be with and do things with leaders and the girls. I am also grateful that the lord has provided a way for me to practice and learn how to become valiant Latter-Day Saint. i have faith in the young women's theme wich states that " We beleive as we come to accept and act upon these values, we wll be prepared to strengthen home and family,make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exalatation." " She made me sound smart i didn't even know what some of those word's ment!
